REVIEWS

Menció especial han de rebre la música d’Akëda, escrita per Ofer Ben-Amots en record de les víctimes de l’Holocaust i basada en una litúrgia jueva per commemorar els morts i el color, i els ritmes búlgars que emergeixen en la composició 33:8 de Djambazov; obres diametralment contraposades de caràcter en les quals Laura Farré Rozada mostra en ambdues un talent pianístic inqüestionable [Virtuosity, like the one achieved in the last movement of the Sonata, dominance of color, such as the one presented in Reflection in the Wind of Messiaen or the apparent chaotic universe of Toccata de Manoury, allow us to capture a part of the great interpretative aspects of Laura: impeccable technique, mastery of loudness, a detailed calculation of the balance of dynamics and intensity of volumes, all at the service of carefully selected compositions. Special mention must be made of the Akëda music, written by Ofer Ben-Amots in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and based on a Jewish liturgy to commemorate the dead and the color, and the Bulgarian rhythms that emerge in composition 33 : 8 from Djambazov; Diametrically opposed works of character in which Laura Farré Rozada shows in both an unquestionable pianistic talent].”
01.12.2018 Phillip Sommerich - Classical Music Magazine - “Laura Farré Rozada's album The French Reverie, on the Albert Moraleda label, could serve as a model for young artists making their recording debuts.
13.09.2018 Simon Brackenborough, classical music blogger - "In truth, I rarely venture outside my comfort zone with piano music, but a debut album by the pianist Laura Farre Rozada has intrigued me. The French Reverie is a crowdfunded effort, ‘under the conceptual approach of a dream that reviews French music from the 20th century with a multicultural perspective’. It’s a refreshingly varied assortment that shows the directions French composers for the piano have taken after Debussy and Ravel. I was particularly struck by the single-note repetitions of Phillippe Manoury’s Tocatta".
And that's something you should listen to, because after this album, which Farré called "The French Reverie" - a "French dream", you have greatly expanded your musical, even spiritual horizon and left a musical experience behind you, which is not exhausted, but absolutely hungry for more...Laura Farré lives in the present and she shapes the present...Farré is able to disclose everything with outstanding technique and - literally - playful instinct...Farré has developed a very own, yet respectful handwriting and expression quality for Messiaen's music...Laura Farré Rozada is currently organizing a recital tour with the works of her debut album. If you live near London, Sofia or Barcelona, you should go there. Otherwise, all readers should urgently wish that they know Farré's game...]".
[I have listened to the CD by Laura Farré Rozada a couple of times and I am pleased to send you my congratulations. The program is very interesting, original, varied and pleasant, with works by consolidated authors and some novelties, including masterpieces such as the magnificent Sonata by Dutilleux. But above all, I have really liked the interpretations, very personal, expressive and solvent technically, always at the service of the music and with the sound and style needed in each piece. Congratulations, Laura, and for many years!]".

Això li dóna un plus extraordinari [A precious record for the selection of contemporary works, excellently interpreted and at the same time very interesting, with an added bonus, that Laura Farré Rozada knows the composers and has been able to develop an interpretation guided by the creators themselves. This gives an extraordinary bonus]".

An example of what can be done when there is talent and enthusiasm.
